Encouragement

This is getting more exciting! Thanks people for the encouraging words of starting my own blog. I have always been a person who needs lots and lots of force in order to get me into something I have no confidence of, and writting is definitely not my thing, especially English is never my primary language. I am scared of being laughed at, shy about my poor vocabulary and a lot of reasons behind...

I have been getting a lot of encouragement lately being a new mum as well, on top of the list is BREASTFEEDING, it wasn't as easy as I saw on those video clips or read from the books. Baby is a human being, an individual, she sometimes does not do what the book says! I had problem getting Naomi to latch on properly for almost a month and there I have sore and cracked nipples for almost a month too! I didn't give up as I want what's best for my girl and thanks to other helpful breastfeeding mummies too! Of course, I was discouraged by a lot of other "good intention" people, kept telling me that maybe I have no enough milk, formula milk is better blah blah blah..... That really hurts.

Encouragement is very important, to everyone in this world, a sick patient, a mother, a stressful employee, a students, a child, a toddler, a baby.... Everyone needs encouragement. So next time, when we are about to object other people, we should not discourage them, try to give them more options so they would feel being encouraged instead of feeling like a total loser.

2nd Day of blogging...

Ha, finally got the slide on! Didn't take me too long to figure out, hey, this is something to be proud of as I am so hopeless when it comes to techie stuff ! :) Oh well, it is quite easy though. Just follow the instruction and I am good at that, blindly follow everything the manual says. Viola! I got my very first slide of Naomi!

Blogging is actually fun!

My very very first blog!

After reading so many blogsites and seems like everyone else is blogging, I guess I just have to write something, not to be left out, huh?

I just realised that a SAHM sometime, could really be left out a lot when comes to the social life. I had to rush home to put Naomi to sleep from the Christmas dinner because she was crying so loud in the restaurant refusing to sleep in her prem. I can't go shopping whenever there's a pre-sales going on in Isetan or J.Jusco (oh, not with a baby in that kind of crowd! And I really miss it!). I can't go movie with hubby anymore because Naomi refused to take expressed breastmilk by any feeding method and mummy doesn't have the heart to starve her just over a movie. Well, not to mention any "clubbing" or other "social party"..... A lot of my single friends stop asking me out for a drink or gathering on a weekend night because they knew, my answer will always be "I am sorry, Naomi is too small and shouldn't be exposed to 2nd hand smokes!" or "Next time, when Naomi doesn't take me as her walking pacifier" So, time to make more friends, with kids.

I think I will have to wait at least another year before I could leave her to my mother or mother in law and go somewhere with hubby alone to rest and relax. But God knows if I will want to leave her by then....
